Development Progress

updated: Feburary 2026

Works at Talima Estate have progressed well over the December and January period, with key milestones now underway on site.

Bulk earthworks officially commenced in mid-December. Machinery was mobilised in early December, with physical earthworks beginning in January after erosion and sediment controls were completed and approved by engineers and Council. Despite some exceptionally wet weather through January, site inspections and audits confirmed the controls have performed well and good progress has continued.

Geotechnical monitoring is ongoing, with testing to date confirming ground conditions and compaction are performing as expected.

Planning is also progressing for upcoming stages of work. Construction of the MSE retaining wall is programmed through April and May, aligning with the anticipated start of Stage 1 civil works later in 2026. Engineering approvals are currently with Porirua City Council, and tenders for civil works across Stages 1 and 2 have now been issued, with contractor selection expected by the end of March.

Looking ahead, utility works along the link road are planned to begin once traffic management approvals are in place, and planning work is underway for a neighbourhood café, adding to the future amenity of the estate.

We’ll continue to share updates as works progress and key milestones are reached.
